Ernest McLeod, a writer and artist living in Middlebury and Montréal, began his role as NER fiction editor in 2018. He has served as an editorial reader of fiction submissions for NER and evaluated manuscripts for the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference scholarship committee off and on since 1998. He is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, with a focus on fiction. His writing and photography have appeared in The Sun, Men on Men 7: Best New Gay Fiction, Salon, F-Stop, JPG, File, as well as in numerous Vermont publications.
